Dr. Aarati Kasturirangan is a community psychologist which means she thinks about how communities, organizations, institutions, and culture can impact an individual’s mental health and well being.  She has been active in the movement to end violence against women for 15 years.  She works as a consultant, providing crisis intervention for organizations that work to support people.  Aarati is a stay at home mom to two delightful children. She and her husband live in Washington, D.C.

American Incarnations: An Indian- American woman’s search for identity, community and sanity  is pretty much what it sounds like.  Here you will find essays, songs, poems all focused on identity.  I hope you find them engaging, entertaining, and in some cases thought provoking.
